  • Import from Japan
  • Language & Manuals: Japanese
  • Region code: Region Free, works on any Playstation3
  • Updated HD Content, new features, new creatures
  • Can transfer PSP save data to ps3

Review for PSP version:

- Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (10/10/10/9, 39 points): This game is all but guaranteed to be the biggest game of the year over in Japan, and between all the interviews, features and strategy pages, this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu devotes something like 100 pages of coverage to it.
"The approachability of the Portable series is known for has been further polished, making this one easy game to get to grips with," one reviewer said about the game. "There are lots of novel features, like the hot spring, and it's more than enough fun even when playing alone. The co-op functionality is just as flawless, too."
"Pretty much every function in the game has been reworked to be easier to use," another added, "letting you progress in the game stresslessly. The game's also packed with tools to help players communicate with each other."
The game missed out on a perfect score, though, and the way Famitsu put it, that's because Monster Hunter just isn't approachable for everybody: "The sheer volume here is staggering, but the complexity of the controls, mixed with the amount of stuff you're required to memorize to play, is still undeniable. Like with previous games in the series, how much you enjoy them depends on whether you can find this system fun or not."

Watching Trailer of FF14

The Age of Adventure
Countless moons have waxed and waned since wandering tribes from across Hydaelyn first arrived in Eorzea and settled its untamed lands. The benevolent deities who ruled the empty continent and its surrounding islands were impressed with the resilience of these primitive men and women, and in an act of mercy each saw fit to ensure their welfare.

These gods and goddesses soon came to be known as the Twelve, and the villages thrived in their light until the land was bespeckled with several independent city-states. Though, where man walks, strife follows, and for generations, these tiny nations carved out a history of blood and betrayal built upon broken oaths and the sun-bleached bones of the fallen.

However, the fate of the land would soon change. Not fifteen years past, a new threat appeared without warning from the east. Metal-clad warriors brandishing weapons that spewed streams of fire, fleets of behemoth airships belching oily smoke that would block out the sun for days at a time... A resistance was amassed, but to little avail, and it was not long before Ala Mhigo, once considered the most powerful of the remaining six Eorzean city-states, had fallen to the mighty Garlean Empire.

As the empire’s dreadnaughts continued their march of terror across the blood-soaked fields of the north, the remaining nations put aside their differences and clandestinely joined hands to form a loose alliance to ensure they not meet the same fate, should the invaders turn their eyes southward.

Fortunately, the invasion never came, and just as quickly as it had arrived, the empire was gone again. However, echoes of their grim message rang clear in the hearts of Eorzea’s people—its effect on them, profound and irreversible. The realm would never be the same.

And it was thus that Eorzea slipped into the “Age of Calm,” during which an uneasy peace prevailed.

To prepare for the coming storm, the first task of the newly-formed alliance was to fortify their defenses. In the previous era, few city-states maintained organized militaries, opting instead to hire the services of mercenaries and hedge knights to champion their causes. However, after the fall of Ala Mhigo, city guard units were restructured into legitimate standing armies which could be quickly called upon and mobilized if the need arose.

Unfortunately, this left a majority of the realm’s hireswords with nowhere to pledge their fealty, and with their livelihood ripped out from under them, many of these men and women resorted to acts of villainy to survive. For fear of the situation worsening and the land falling into chaos, several respected leaders from around Eorzea gathered together and formed a network of guilds to provide these lost souls with the opportunity to redeem themselves by aiding others.

Through the foresight and resolve of these leaders a new industry known as “adventuring” emerged, its advent helping usher in the current era—an era of hope in a time when shadows of uncertainty loom ever closer.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City delivers a true third person team based shooter experience set within the dark and sinister Resident Evil universe. [Game] Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland [PS3]

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland

2 Editions : Standard // Bundle

Product Description

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is a single player turn-based Japanese Role-playing game
(JRPG) exclusive to the PlayStation 3 console. The 2011 release in the long-running PlayStation
based Atelier franchise and sequel to the earlier Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland, this game
focuses action on a combination of alchemist based item creation, party combat utilizing AI
companions, character leveling and exploration gameplay. Additional features include: classic
turn-based RPG combat and strategy, in-game characters that can be hired to search for needed
items, AI character assist abilities, character specific finishing moves, frequently updated quests
and a variety of possible game endings.

A Whole New Atelier Adventure

The small fishing village of Alanya on the Arland Republic's southern border is home to the young
alchemist-in-training Totooria Helmold. She is called Totori by her friends and family, and she
wishes to become a great adventurer. One day, she resolves to make the journey to Arland,
become an adventurer and explore the world beyond her hometown. She will make many friends
along her journey of discovery - some new, some familiar. When her quest comes to a close,
your actions over the course of the game will dictate whether she finds the answers to her
questions, forges unbreakable bonds with friends, or takes a different path entirely.

Gameplay

As with previous games in the Atelier series, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is a turn-
based RPG with gameplay and combat rooted in alchemy and exploration. Events take place years
after the previous game, continuing five-years into the future of the new heroine, Totori as she
follows in the footsteps of her famous adventurer mother. To find out more about Totori's mother
you become an adventurer in training yourself and explore the gameworld. Adventurers are a
recognized profession in this world and one that is regulated via an Adventurer's License that
contains various ranks. The rank of your license is built up by accumulating points, which in turn
allow for greater access to areas of the gameworld. Points are gathered in a number of ways,
including: maping out available lands, helping citizens, discovering and synthesizing new items
that are found, discovering special landmarks and defeating monsters and bosses in combat.
Item synthesis involves obtaining recipes and then gathering objects that can be combined into
entirely new items usable in-game. This deep system allows you to adjust secondary effects like
the quality and traits of new items. In-game characters called Homunculi can be hired to
automatically gather items you wish for synthesis, freeing Totori up to do other things. The
efficiency of Homunculi can be increased by providing them with pies, which they relish.
Battles are turn-based, initiated by random encounters with enemies. Totori can hire up to two
party members from characters that she encounters throughout the gameworld, and she can
change members at will. Party members can help when Totori is attacked via the game's Assist
System, each in a specific way. These characters can also assist in attacks that Tori initiates.
Dealing damage to enemies or using the Assist System can raise your character's Super Move
gauges. Once filled, characters will gain access to their Super Move, which can be used to deal
maximum damage.
